In the charming chalet in the middle of the Ermerstrand recreation park, 2 small dogs are welcome free of charge. The garden is fenced, so dogs can run freely. The old, tall trees give this park something special.

The chalet offers sleeping space for 2 adults, with a large built-in closet, so plenty of room for your clothes and suitcases.

In the beautiful, bright living room with French doors leading to the large veranda, we’ve placed a really comfortable couch. Put a blanket over it for your dog and relax together on the sofa.

As you might know, your dogs are allowed on the couch with us, but please put a blanket underneath. This keeps everything nice while allowing your dogs to lie with you (probably just like at home). There is one blanket in the chalet, but we assume you’ll bring your own blankets to put over the couch or lounge set.

On the large veranda, you can sit sheltered at the dining table or stretch out on the lounge set. Add some snacks and drinks… Perfect! Of course, you can also sit in the sun in the garden. There are 2 large sun loungers in the shed for this.

Want to cook during your vacation? You can in the small kitchen with stovetop and oven. Of course, pretty much everything you’d expect is available in the kitchen: kettle, egg cooker, and even an Airfryer. You can choose between a Senseo coffee machine and a Nespresso.

In summer, BBQ is our first choice, is it yours too? You can use the electric Weber BBQ. (Note! Clean it yourself after use, otherwise it will be deducted from the deposit).

If you want to stay longer: there’s a washing machine, dryer, and drying rack in the utility room.

Want to relax in soothing warmth after a walk? This vacation home also has a sauna for you to enjoy. We’ve placed the sauna in an extra room. So you don’t need to go outside, you can stay comfortably inside. You could also place a baby bed in this room. Forgot to bring one? Just ask us. A high chair is no problem either.

Of course, the entire chalet has central heating, so nothing stands in the way of a stay during Christmas or New Year’s Eve. It’s notably quieter in the park than in a big city and better for dogs since there’s hardly any fireworks here.

The beach entrance is just around the corner, so in good weather, you’re right at the beach (unfortunately dogs not allowed) where you can water ski, fish, or just swim, sunbathe, use the slide, have a drink on the terrace… Small children love water and sand, and they even offer a water slide here! For children, there’s also an indoor and outdoor playground, ball pit, children’s paintball, water ski facility, etc. All within walking distance.

Is your dog a real water lover? There’s a nice dog beach just a few minutes’ drive away, but there are several beautiful dog beaches nearby, for example, Ellertshaar dog beach… highly recommended.

In the forest next to the park, there’s a nice small sandy area (in the middle of the forest). Most dogs particularly enjoy running and digging in the sand here.

This chalet is suitable for 2 people and a small child. It has 1 bedroom with a 1.60m bed and the sauna room could be used as a children’s room.
Two cars can be parked in the driveway. Also convenient if you’re expecting visitors.

Bedding and towels can be brought along or booked for 15 Euro per person.

Air conditioning for really hot days is wonderful, also for your dogs. You can request to use an AC unit for an additional fee. (40,- per week, 20,- per weekend, 30,- per midweek).

Up to 3 dogs are allowed in this vacation home, this is due to the fencing, which is only 1.20 m high and not strong enough for large dogs. Dogs are warmly welcome and can stay for free. We often get asked if cats/parrots etc. can be brought along. And yes, they can! They can also enjoy the fresh air.

Ermerstrand Holiday Park is located in the Drenthe village of Erm, close to Emmen. The park is known for its natural environment and many recreational opportunities. At the center of the park is a large recreational lake with a sandy beach, where you can swim and sunbathe in summer. You can also water ski, wakeboard, or paddleboard. Besides water activities, Ermerstrand has various sports facilities, such as a soccer field, beach volleyball, a playground, and a BMX track. In the surrounding area, there are beautiful walking and cycling routes that take you through the Drenthe landscape with heathlands, forests, and traditional villages.
